Has anybody ever even stopped to think that maybe, just maybe Tentoo and Rose didn’t work out?
I mean, relationships fall apart all the time. Not to mention the fact that Tentoo is very different from actual Doctor, he has a whole lot of Donna in him. That could’ve changed their dynamic…I’m pretty sure they’ve separated. I never really saw Rose and the Doctor being truly in love so much as good timing and circumstance rather than actually having anything in common. In series 1, the Time War caused Nine to be very needy, jealous, and angry. It was off putting, but he eventually grew out of it. Rose started out alright, but then eventually became possessive and a bit mean spirited (probably as a result of the way Nine treated her). If the Doctor hadn’t of been damaged after the Time War, I don’t think they would have become an item at all. Their relationship always struck me as unhealthy and was heavily over glorified. It made me dislike them both when they were together. Also, Tentoo didn’t have much say in whether he wanted to stay in the alternate universe or not. Ten basically exiled him there, so that Rose could “fix” him…okay? Yeah, Tentoo killed a bunch of Daleks, but so did Rose when she was Bad Wolf, and she didn’t need to be “fixed.” And then I’m supposed to be all happy for him? Plus, there’s no way the Doctor would be happy being stuck on Earth. Their whole relationship seemed more like wish fulfillment on Rose’s side. Like, this is what a teenage girl would want, not necessarily what the Doctor would want.
Wow I got two completely opposite answers.
The bad thing wasn’t that Tentoo killed a bunch of Daleks, it was that he did so with the purpose of exterminating the race because supposedly all the remaining Daleks were there. When Bad Wolf killed all those Daleks it was with the purpose of self defense and protection, not pure anger and just wanting to wipe them out forever like Tentoo was.
That’s that, tho.
I am a firm believer that the Doctor and Rose had strong feelings for each other, but I could see your point as well.
The only reason why I would suspect that Rose and Tentoo would separate is because you know he’s not the Doctor, he is his own person made from the Doctor and Donna. It’s like an entirely new human being.
